RUB Bauwesen CompEng

On Monday, 17th November 2014 four CompEng students from the class of 2013/14, namely Ibrahim Kaleel, Alexander Priscaru, Pramod Murali Mohan and Tagir Ishkakov, were awarded a scholarship in the frame of the 'National Scholarship Program' (Deutschlandstipendium). As you can see on the pictures, even the current RUB Rector Prof. Elmar Weiler himself extended his congratulation to the awardees.

The scholarship is awarded to students who show outstanding academic achievements and are involved in social activities. In addition to their excellent subject-specific performances, Ibrahim, Alex and Pramod are all active members of the CompEng student council. With an average of 1.0 Tagir is currently the best student of his class.

The scholarships are made available by companies, institutions and individuals, and the scholarship sums are further complemented by funds from the national and NRW governments. They are intended to be a contribution to students' living costs and ideally, they should enable them to concentrate on their studies without needing to bother about how to make their living. In this way, they considerably help to improve students' study conditions.

So it remains for us to extend our congrats to the four CompEng scholarship holders! We are proud to have you on board!

PS: Many thanks to the RUB Rectorate and the RUB Department of PR and Communication/Fundraising and Alumni for making this scholarship available to the students.
