First CompEng@VGU students graduated with a PhD

We are very glad to announce that the first three CompEng students  from Vietnam German University (VGU) successfully graduated with a PhD at Ruhr-University Bochum and Ghent University, namely Khiem Lu Trong Nguyen ("Whitham Modulation Theory and Direct Methods for Nonlinear Dispersive Waves") as one of the best and fastest CompEng@VGU students in CompEng history, Binh Duong Nguyen ("Formation of Dislocation Structure in Single Crystals During Plastic Deformations") as well as Tien Dung Dinh ("Numerical Analysis for Tension Membrane Structures and Multiscale Modeling for the Applied Coated Fabrics"). The former two under supervision of Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Khanh Chau Le and Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Klaus Hackl worked and researched for their thesis at the chair for Mechanics - Material Theory (Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Klaus Hackl) at Ruhr-University Bochum, the latter under supervision of Prof. Paepegem at Ghent University. Dr.-Ing. Lu Trong Khiem Nguyen has already accepted a position with University of Stuttgart as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institute of Applied Mechanics.

We congratulate our CompEngs to their successful graduation and wish all the best for their future career!
