RUB Bauwesen CompEng

On 6 December 2011, which in Germany is known as the traditional Nikolausday, the CompEng team welcomed all Computational Engineering students for a small Christmas celebration with typical Christmassy pastries, drinks and decoration. Furthermore the old student council team used the chance to introduce themselves and to win some new members for the next semester. After a short welcome speech of course coordinators Dipl.-Ing. Sahlmen and M.A. Julia Lippmann, the old student council described their responsibilities, prospects and concepts for the future. Chatting about some important and minor important related aspects everybody enjoyed 'Glühwein', a typically German winterly hot beverage, and the other delicacies that helped to create a cozy atmosphere. In the end nineteen CompEng students, many of them from the new class, volunteered to engage in the student council with lots of ideas in their minds to further improve the study conditions. The new student council will soon be introduced on the CompEng website. After the election the students and the CompEng team kept on celebrating, finishing off the evening as merrily as it had begun.
