RUB Bauwesen CompEng

As the best student of the CompEng pioneering class of 2009, M.Sc. Binh Duong Nguyen has now been invited to conduct PhD studies at RUB. The PhD program will be embedded in the project "Analysis and Numerical Simulations of the plastic deformations of single crystals and TWIP-alloys within continuum dislocation theory". The project is funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) and supervised Prof. Le Khan Chau.

Binh Duong Nguyen started his Master's studies in Computational Engineering at VGU in 2009, finishing the program off in 2011 with excellent results. His Master thesis on the topic "Modelling polygonization in single crystals within the continuum dislocation theory" (supervisor Prof. Khanh Chau Le) has received the best grade of 1.0. The results of this master thesis have been published as a joint paper by K.C Le and B.D. Nguyen in the International Journal of Engineering Science.

The RUB CompEng team is looking forward to welcome Mr. Nguyen, who already completed a two-months research stay at RUB in the summer semester of 2011, back in Bochum!
