On Friday, the 17th of May, Indian Consul General Mrs. Pratibha Parkar came to visit our university. We are very proud that three of our students had the chance to meet her and to exchange ideas with her.

Vijay Holla, Prasad Atmaram and Sharan Nurani Ramesh met Pratibha Parkar, Consul General, and Mridula Singh, Education Officer & Social Secretary to Consul General and had a lively conversation about the living conditions in Bochum. Mrs. Parkar was made aware that finding an accommodation is relatively easy in Bochum, compared to other cities. Above, she was informed that the living expenses in Bochum are much lower than in other cities and that students have a fair chance to find a part time job at the university.

We are very happy to hear that the work of the CompEng Support Team, along with the efforts of the International Office, was positively highlighted.

Mrs. Parkar and Mrs. Singh informed our students about the cultural activities of the Consulate, such as the Yoga Day on the 15th of June in Cologne. They very much hope to see some of our international students taking part. For further information, please refer to the official website of the Consulate General of India in Frankfurt: https://cgifrankfurt.gov.in/

We would like to thank Consul General Mrs. Pratibha Parkar and Mrs. Mridula Singh, Education Officer & Social Secretary to Consul General as well as Mrs. Herrlich from the International Office, who have made this meeting possible. Also, we would like to thank Vijay Holla, Prasad Atmaram and Sharan Nurani Ramesh who represented their fellow students that day. A special thanks to Sharan, who provided us with a short summary of the meeting and a picture.
